Reduce fuel and energy use
Eviosys continues to invest in state-of-the-art equipment to reduce GHG emissions.
The installation of new equipment used in the curing process for coating and printing is set to reduce gas consumption by 60% and eliminate VOC emissions.
All Eviosys plants in the UK and Türkiye are powered with renewable energy, representing 3.5% of our total energy use globally.
The installation of renewable Solar energy systems as well as energy efficient chillers, heating systems and lights plus the adoption of GPL forklifts, is set to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 1,700 tons per plant.
Reduce GHG emissions from value chain
We work collaboratively with European steel mills to help reduce GHG emissions by 20%, by 2030, reaching carbon neutrality by 2050.
We partner with local suppliers to reduce transport emissions and support local economies and leverage our global network of 44 plants to manufacture near to our customers, further reducing our carbon footprint.
Metal Recycles Forever
Metal is a permanent material which means it can be recycled infinitely to create new products without losing any of its properties.
Metal packaging is easy and economically efficient to recycle – 80% of metal packaging in Europe is recycled.
We develop innovative solutions to help our customers switch from multi-material packaging to 100% metal packaging to increase the recyclability of their products.
We work in partnership with our suppliers and trade associations to drive circularity throughout the value chain.
Cartons used by our customers are collected and reused at our Concarneau plant. On average, these cartons are used six times before being recycled.
Setting industry standards
A 30% reduction in impact on climate change has been achieved over the 2000 – 2018 period.
We partner with trade associations and sustainability experts to determine standard industry data to complete accurate life cycle analysis and drive sustainability. In partnership with MPE (Metal Packaging Europe) we created LCA software certified ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.
Reducing food waste
- According to the EC (European Commission), food waste accounts for 10% of global GHG emissions.
- Metal packaging offers an efficient solution, reducing citizens’ food waste by up to 30%, extending shelf life with no need for refrigeration.
- Closed loop water systems which are continually monitored, are used in our manufacturing process to improve efficiency.
- 99.8% of our waste is already recycled.
- A zero waste to landfill by 2025 action plan has been implemented.
- Our R&D centre works continuously to identify solutions which reduce weight and save resources, without compromising product integrity.
- The weight of metal packaging has been reduced by 30% in the last 30 years.
Safe working environment
Eviosys takes pride in creating a safe working environment. We deliver more than 200 safety training sessions for employees, every month and our Safety Management Systems, enable us to continually monitor hazards and incidents, establishing corrective action plans where required.
Physical and mental health
We value our employees’ health and wellbeing and take pride in being able to respond with the appropriate skills and knowledge, if a colleague is in distress.
To help protect the well-being of our people, regular first aid training is provided in addition to communicating best practice on hearing and posture. Personalised physiotherapy services are also provided along with nutritional advice and cancer awareness.
Safe products for our customers and consumers
We protect brands’ reputation with products that comply with food-safety regulations and the highest hygiene standards.
All Eviosys plants are BRC-Food certified and systematic quality control processes ensure zero critical defects in our products.
Extensive product analysis is also undertaken at our R&D centres and new systems are developed in partnership with suppliers if risks are identified.
Double Seaming Monitoring systems help to reduce waste and improve food safety and our technical experts offer wide ranging support customer support services to ensure our products are used safely.

A culture of compliance
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity, and in compliance with applicable laws. We monitor, audit and review our compliance programme and provide compliance training, which is overseen by the Compliance Management Committee. All employees are required to uphold our ethos.
Thorough due-diligence procedures are followed before entering any new business partnership.
All employees receive business conduct and ethics training, including anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-trust and trade compliance laws.
An external whistle-blowing system is available for all employees 24/7.
Awareness and monitoring
We monitor EHS industrial laws and Food safety regulations and make all regulatory related information accessible to our employees.
All ISO certifications, SEDEX, BRC have been validated under our new Eviosys entity.
